One-to-one Reading Intervention
A personalized, evidence-based approach to help struggling readers become accurate, confident, and independent.
My Approach:
I use an evidence-based approach called, structured literacy that breaks reading into clear, manageable parts.
Instruction is explicit, multi-sensory, and cumulative so skills are practiced and reinforced to automaticity.
Unlike traditional tutoring, my approach is systematic and diagnostic, tailored precisely to how your child learns. I record quantitative data to track growth and adjust instruction as needed.
Who It’s For:
Students who:
Read below grade level
Struggle with fluency, decoding, or word recognition
Guess at words or avoid reading
Have dyslexia, ADHD, or need targeted support
How It Works:
1:1 sessions (in-person at my office, on campus, or family home)
Typically 2x per week for meaningful progress
Most families begin with a 3–6 month commitment
Dyslexia intervention may require 12–24 months, dependent on learning profile.
The Result:
Students begin to:
Experience a big shift in their self-confidence
Are less resistant when approaching reading
Rely on strategies and patterns instead of guessing
Read with greater accuracy, fluency, and understanding
Take more risks and participate more actively in the classroom
Re-engage with learning -often with a renewed sense of pride and capability
