Are you a serious writer?
Are you a middle or high school student who’s seriously interested in pursuing your craft? Do you write compelling narratives, beautiful poetry, or deeply personal memoir? Is there never enough time in English class to dive into what you’re really interested in?
Hi, my name is Brenda and I want you in my creative writing sessions. These sessions will explore voice, plot, tone, figurative language, point of view, and more as we dive into all the colorful ways our writing voice can emerge. I offer small group, whole class, or one on one instruction. My sessions will ask students to write weekly, share their pieces, and discuss it with myself and others to provide thoughtful, strengthening feedback.
Whether you want to develop your voice, connect with other writers your age, or learn how to get published, my sessions are the space for you.
I have a masters in creative nonfiction, am a Yale published author, Pushcart Prize nominee, and I’ve been working in schools for over a decade. I’ve seen some AMAZING student writers throughout my career and I’m thrilled to launch these sessions to support the many talented voices I know are out there.
If you would be interested in creative instruction, I would love to hear from you! Kindly leave your parents’ email and fill out the form below. We’ll be in touch.
